To Upright Pianos
The condition of a piano is very important. For example, when children are learning to play, they need the best possible piano
in order for them to learn all the techniques and touch necessary to be successful. One of the reasons children get turned
off from playing is the instrument. Just because it looks like a piano, the keys go down and it makes a noise doesn't mean
a child should be using it or any other student of the piano. Having a smooth, well balanced action ( touch) and a consistently
good sound is imperative for the learning process to take hold.
The "touch " of a piano is so specific and should be very consistent from one note to the next so that the student
learns the proper way to play the piece. I've had parents come to me after their student have either quit or the teacher has
told them they're not taking it seriously enough and not doing their best. It turned out the piano was so worn out that the
student was compensating for the lack of consistency of the action, thereby actually practicing wrong. Once at the teachers
studio, the child couldn't duplicate their work and practice on a good and proper piano. The piece was all over the place,
much to the students dismay, and frustration after working so hard. We do not want to teach our children that no matter how
hard they work and how much they want to succeed, they can't. Not something we want for our children.
I make sure my pianos are of good quality so there is nothing holding the student back. We as parents want to enable good
self-esteem in our kids, and to allow them to grow strong.Edit
Steinway Louis XV 6'2" Grand - Very Rare
|
|

|
This piano is very rare and very good.
It is a 6'2" Louis VX in high gloss mahogany and is fit for a King or Queen. It has been professionally rebuilt, including
a new sound board (gives it a great voice), ivory keys and regulated perfectly for the best of pianists. It also has a QRS
palyer system on it with midi capability. There is nothing not to like about this Steinway. Bosendorfer, Bechstein, Yamaha,
Mason Hamlin have nothing close. Everything has been done. They are very hard to find and this one was rebuilt top quality.
I am not a dealer but a private party who loves music and quality, but have to sell. Thanks

Steinway O, 5' 10 1/2" Grand
|
|

|
Very nice 1911 satin ebony Steinway. I have 2 of these at the moment and was very impressed with the over all character and
strong sound of these pianos. The case, strings, and hammers, shanks and flanges have been redone probably 20 years ago and
are in good condition. It also has new keytops. It plays effortlessly....very responsive, with a powerful sound. The price
is well below market for a quick sale. It is a solid, good Steinway. An O, which Germany has always made and New York is making
now, sells for over $55,000 plus tax new. This one you can have in your family forever.

Very nice, clean, well cared for grand piano with a lovely wood case. The case has wonderful detailing in a clean design.
I had a professional piano technician appraise it. The soundboard, bridges and pin block are perfect. The is no oxidation
on the strings, hammers are great. It has a warm, rich sound and plays beautifully. The 5'8" size is the most perfect
for the home. The extra length adds the rich bass but is still small enough to comfortably fit in a home. Great Deal!!

Steinway A III 6'4 1/2"
|
|

|
The Steinway A III, 6'4 1/2" is known to be the best model Steinway ever made. It hasn't been made since the 40's and
is highly sought after. This piano was built in 1927, the absolute best years of Steinway...the mid 20', the best. There has
been no expense spared in the complete restoration, new action, strings, pins, and finish. It has a perfectly balanced action
and plays like you've never felt. It has been played by some very fine classical pianists and musicians who thought it was
wonderful. This piano was briefly ( 2weeks) in the recording studio of one of the areas top professional, classical recording
artist. That should give a hint on how good it is. This is gorgeous instrument. For the price for a new 5'2" Steinway,
you can have a fabulous Steinway 6'4".

New German Designed Baby Grand
|
|

|
I have to sell my new (this year) baby grand. German Design-High gloss black with a bench and warranty. It has
a warm, rich sound and plays like a dream. There has been extra prep work done to it like 4 tunings to stabilize it( $135
ea.) and voicing ($185) which all new pianos should have but the dealers don't do.So this piano has a very good start for
someone. I have a degree in music and have to let it go to a new family. Its very close to a Yamaha sound and touch but a
little more mellow. A musician friend of mine has one just like it and she loves it. It has just been taken out of the crate
and prepped. The warranty card has not even been sent in.

Rosewood Chickering Grand 1885
|
|

|
This one has a new home in a piano museum! I'm very happy happy that it will survive for future generations to se and hear.
Antique, rosewood Chickering 6' 6" grand. Not many pianos like this have survived. This one is in the process of
being restored. It has a stunning case, made of rosewood, and beautifully refinished. The pin block is new and the hammers
have been replaced also. This was such a lovely rare piano when I found it, I just had to see it fully restored. What a centerpiece!
This is an absolutely gorgeous antique piano.
